Booking for CRT and CM???

We just came back from Disney a few weeks and CRT and Chef Mickey's were two restaurants I couldn't get reservations for. Completely MY fault. I waited to long to make reservations. I was not on top of my game and called two weeks before we got there. I did get Crystal Palace, Tusker House and The Garden Grill.

We are going again in March 2010. I want to get CRT and CM but I keep hearing about how they book up so quick. Will I be okay for lunch at CRT and dinner at CM if I call EXACTLY 180 days in advance??? These are my two MUST HAVE places when we go back.

I just called at about 170 days out and was able to get the time and date I wanted at CRT, so it's definitely possible, and I'd say downright likely if you call at 7am, 180 days out. Especially if you have some flexibility and can go any day of your trip. Good luck!!

I think you will be able to get them at 180 days no problem I just booked them both for our fall trip at 180 days and got the times I wanted. Looks like you did get a couple good ones even at only two weeks , we like the Garden Grill and Crystal Palace.

Glad you liked them. Crystal Palace is a must every trip. I LOVE the food there and you can't beat the Hundred Acre crew

I keep reading here that you must call on exactly the 180th day and first thing in the morning to get these places.

Well I called at about 150 days and in the evening and got exactly what I wanted.

Keep in mind that if you can't get a 6:00 time, check to see if they have 6:05 or 5:55, etc.

We just got back from a VERY last minute trip. We called about a week and a half before we left and got ADRs and CRT, Crystal Palace, and Tusker House. I was so shocked that they had a dinner ressie at CRT that was still available. I say call every day if you have to. Chances are there will be a cancellation!

We ate at both last week and I'm not sure they were worth the trouble. I didn't think the food was very good at either place. The kids loved Chef Mickey's but I was disappointed that the castle lunch didn't make more of an impression on her. They really try to rush you out of there since it's such a small venue. We thought the food and experience was better at Akershus. Oh well. We can say we did it.

LUCKY!!! I called and asked for every single day we were there for lunch AND dinner. Nada..nothing! All they had was 9:40 at night. Not going to happen with a 2 year old and 8 year old. Same with Chef Mickey's.

When I called to make our ADRs for our upcoming June trip, I was well within my 180 days. I think my 180 day was December 17th, but I ended up not having a chance to make any ADRs until after Christmas. I think I made them Dec. 27th or 28th, maybe even later.

Anyway, I was very worried about 3 of my ADRs - Chef Mickey's (breakfast), CRT (lunch), and Le Cellier (dinner), but I was able to get all 3 of them w/ no problem. I was even able to get the times I wanted - I had my choice of times w/ Chef Mickey's & CRT; Le Cellier was a bit more limited but still had close to the time I wanted. The one ADR that surprised me was Ohana (dinner). There were only 2 times left on the date I wanted.

My sil just now made her ADRs for her family's July trip, and she was able to get all her ADRs. I don't know if she scheduled Chef Mickey's, but I do know she wanted a meal at CRT (but dinner may have been okay w/ her).
