Booking for 7 month

We just got back from 9 days at POR with free dining and in 1 week it will be the window to book AKL, BCV or Vero. Yet I am just exhausted and don't even want to think about Disney for a bit.

Do I book once the window opens or wait? Also, once booked at what point can I change my mind and put the points back?

i would go ahead and book as soon as possible.

you can put your pts back as long as you cancel more than a month in advance. (your UY will dictate your banking window which tells you whether you can bank those pts into the next year or not.)
