I will be booking for 5 guess, including a 2 yr old. When booking online is it better to look for a table of 4, then call and add the infant- or do a table of six. Problem is parties over 5 are generally split up or hard to book, but so are odd numbered guests.

You can't just call and add the infant, because that would be changing your ADR from 4 to 5. That would normally involve canceling and rebooking. You have 5, book for 5.

You won't be split up. They will seat you at whatever appropriate size table they have - most likely a 6, but it could also be something else, it depends on the restaurant.

If you are worried about the disclaimer that sometimes shows up when you make an ADR saying that you're party may be seated at seperate tables, I wouldn't fret to much about it. It is possible that you might be split up, but most groups are not. The disclaimer shows up for everyone, regardless of party sizes. I've gotten it for parties of 3 and read about others getting it for parties of one or two.

I've been booking 5's for early May and have had no problems whatsoever. I have yet to find a restaurant that doesn't have several options in the time period I request. I could even get CRT for breakfast before the park opened.
