Quick question.............
Do you need to book ALL of your "Flounder Time" on the first day? What if your not sure when you will need it? Any suggestions on disney cruising with a 2 and a 1/2 year would be greatly appreciated.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

When we boarded the Magic, we first went to make Palo reservations, and then went to Flounder's. We reserved time at Flounder's for semi-formal and formal nights (grandparents were babysitting on Palo night). While we knew we'd probably want to take our 17-month-old additional times, we didn't want to schedule it without knowing what we'd be doing and when.

Three separate times during the cruise we called to see if they had openings right then... twice they did, and once they didn't.

My advice is to make reservations for the times you KNOW you'll want your child there, and the other times you can try to schedule throughout the cruise, possibly even at the last minute. Good luck!

This is 2 yr old advice....... We sailed in '01 with DD 2 & 1/2.....

At that time you were only allowed to make 3 "guaranteed" ressies at flounder's....... we got our excursions covered and then covered adult nights in the resturants. As it turned out we were never turned away...... call the day before for an almost sure spot and call whenever for a 50/50 chance....

Depending on who is in charge you may or may not be charged to cancell at the last min..... We never were but there was a full ship and always someone to take our place.......

Don't under estimate the value of an hour or so by the pool when you can get it.... If they tell you they have a small spot open at an odd time take it and run!!!

We used them alot at night..... they are great about letting the little ones fall asleep and then 'Magically' moving them to the quite room!!! DD took naps and bed time with Flounder's and really missed very little family time! We enjoyed not having to wait out her naps in the cabin though......

Unless you have early seating, feed the kids in the room or topsiders and then off to flounders...... late seating is a nightmare with really young ones!!

OH!!! Almost forgot....... a quick dip in the Mickey pool makes for great naps!!:D ;)

Enjoy!!!
