I'm just wondering has anyone ever booked flights a few months in advance of booking the hotel and if it was a problem?

We know the dates we want to go and we want to wait until October for the 20% off and free half board meal vouchers to book the hotel but we're wondering about booking flights now.

I dont see why there would be a problem. I only every do DIY holidays, I always book my flights direct with the airlines myself, I never use a travel agent. If the flight prices are good now, then go for it. Flight prices increase the closer to departure date you book, so booking now in July you will get a lower price than if you wait and book in October.

That's what happened us before and there was at least 100 euro in the difference. We want to go to CDG because it's closer. Flights for either airport aren't cheap but I suspect they're cheaper than they will be in October.

Over the last 15 years I have flown alot around Europe, as I have lived in a few countries. I always try to book at least 4 months before departure for travel around Europe and at least 6 months before departure for transatlantic. The budget airlines eg Ryanair and Easyjet for example are notorious for the exorbitant prices 2 weeks or less before departure. In the past due to unexpected circumstances I have had to book flights less than a week before departure and the prices were horrendous.

You should check on www.skyscanner.com its an airline price comparison website, but not all airlines are on it.

I saw on one of your reports you're from Ireland. Is there anyone else that will fly from Dublin to CDG besides Aer Lingus?

Will check skyscanner as well

I think Aer France do, but I have only ever flown with Aer Lingus. Ryanair fly to Paris-Beauvais Airport which is further out and has limited shuttles to Disney.

Yeah we normally fly to Beauvais but last time our shuttle was such a bad experience we don't want to go back there lol

I've only flown to Beauvais once but it was ok using Ezyshuttle for transfers. Not cost effective for small parties but, was ideal for our family and we saved a good bit on cheaper flights. Our local airport doesn't fly there anymore do we use EasyJet to CDG.

Went ahead and booked the flight today. I was working out transfer/shuttle costs and everything last night and there was 20 difference between CDG and BVA for us. CDG is closer and means we can get the Disney bus as well :D

Now only have to decide whether we want to go back to the Cheyenne or try either Hotel New York or Sequoia lol!
