I have enough air miles for 2 tickets for our trip in Nov. I have never booked flights using air miles and was wondering how far in advance the flights become available. When I search now there is extremely limited availability for Nov and was wondering if maybe I'm looking too early and more flights will become available later on. I'm travelling from Nova Scotia.

I'm going in December and I booked the beginning of March because I was worried that once the seat availability was gone there wouldn't be more coming. That being said I keep checking and there is still availability so far. I've was told that if you see a flight that works for you grab it while you can.

For flights from Ottawa there were only flights with Air Canada when I first started looking. Recently flights with WestJet have become available. AM required have bounced around a bit but seem to have stabilized. I guess more flights could open up but you also might find yourself with a flight that goes to Toronto then on to Orlando.

Bottom line, if you see a good combination of flights go for it.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. As soon as I find one I'll grab it. Usually we have to connect in either Toronto or Montreal and then to Orlando which makes for a long day.
