Booking fastpasses for linked family and friends

We are arriving two days earlier than the rest of our party (24 total people under 6 reservations). We all are staying at AS Sports and have tickets linked in MDE. For some reason I thought we would be able to book fast passes for the rest of the party, in addition to ourselves, but we're unable to do so (our booking window opened today). Was I mistaken? We're "linked" as friends and family in MDE.

In addition, what else will we be able to do as linked friends and family? View each other's fast passes? Change them? Once everyone else's booking window opens, will we THEN be allowed to book their fast passes? TIA for any guidance.

If you can see their tickets in your MDE account then you should have been able to book fastpasses for them. You would have to include them when you booked your fp's, not make fp's for them for different rides then you are going on.

If you can't see their tickets then you won't be able to make fp's for them.

OK, I didn't know that I would have to include them with my own fast passes, so that's really helpful!

I CAN see their tickets in MDE.

However, I just tried it again, and got the message: "Valid theme park admission is required, so you’ll need to buy or link admission, or remove Guests." When I use their package reservation # to try to link their tickets as prompted, I get a message that they've already linked that package. (Maybe it's because we have a package and not separate tickets?) Not a big deal, just not what I expected.

It's because everyone has booked "packages." With packages, you have to wait until theirs open - so you can adjust your party to add them to your FP reservations.

Use "Change Party" in each FP to add on the rest of your group.

Thank you for your help! There have been several times in the process when I was frustrated that my in-laws went against our advice and booked packages instead of room only + individual tickets--this is one of them!

We have never traveled with another group and tried to book FP+ before for everyone. (I'm trying to figure this all out before the first window opens - so many variables!) We are also one day apart in arrival dates.
We are both booked in split stay DVC rooms w no packages. I can also see their tix on MDE.
Now...can I book FP+ for our family when our window opens, and then just add them using the "change party" when their window opens? Or will possibly all FP+ be taken by then? This is where I get confused and need any advice possible! Thank you!!

In your case, select everyone and book FPs for your complete group.

That's the main advantage of separately linked tickets: book for everyone as a complete group when the first booking window opens.

Can multiple people in your party book
FP+ when the window opens? For example, I book MK for Mon, while my husband books AK for Tues. and so on...

I'm assuming those in the other party, coming the day later, could not though.

Some have split up booking duties. It's best to use different browsers if possible.

As long as MDEs are linked properly to View/Share, anyone can book as soon as the first window opens. Book as a complete group and then Modify after you've completed your initial choices for each day.
