Booking Fastpasses for a backup Resort Stay

I have a 2 week trip booked and I was able to make fast passes for 14 days (passholder & staying onsite). A couple years ago I had a 2 day trip planned in June and then a 15 night trip planned for July and I was only allowed to make 14 days worth of fast passes, I wasn't aware of any rules so I called and the cast member manually added one more day as a courtesy.

Here's a copy and paste of information directly from the WDW website.

Passholders with reservations at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can start making FastPass+ selections as early as 60 days prior to the check-in date―and can secure FastPass+ selections for the length of stay or up to 7 days. Please note that if your length of stay is longer than two weeks, FastPass+ selections can be made for up to 14 days.
As with Guests using tickets, once you redeem your initial set of FastPass+ selections (or the last arrival window has passed), you can make another FastPass+ selection for the same day at an in-park kiosk or on your mobile device. After you redeem the additional FastPass+ pick, you can make more selections (one at a time) up to park closing.
