How do documents work? The way I understood it, I'd get a packet from DCL about excursions separate from my official DCL documents and I could book excursions 60 days before the cruise. When should I receive the excursion paperwork? We booked through DVC and don't sail until January but I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

You will get the excurtion info about 60 days before your sail date. The documents (tickets) for the cruise coome about 2-4 weeks before you sail.

we just returned from the 8/16 Western cruise and we booked all of our excursions through DCL.

I booked them on the phone 60 days prior to sailing. DCL then sent me a confirmation letter with all of the excursions listed.

Our tickets for each excursion were in our stateroom when we arrived.

Some folks say that booking through DCL is more expensive than arranging the excursion yourself, but quite honestly, I did not want to be bothered and loved the one stop shopping.

hope this helps.

60 days prior to my cruise, I went on-line and received the excursions # and booked mine over the phone. Our tx were in our stateroom. It's very simple to do and only took about 5 minutes. You aren't charged anything until the end of the cruise and then it's added onto your onboard account. Some excursions fill up in advance so i wouldn't wait to book them on the cruise, do it in advance.

They didn't charge your credit card when you booked the excursions in advance? This is good to know because I *think* Royal Caribbean has you pay for the excursions when you book them. Do you know what kind of time frame you have to be able to cancel them in advance with no penalty? thanks!

Seaspray,

I just booked mine a couple of days ago, and they said we had up until two days prior to sailing to cancel without being charged fully.

I booked our excursions last week for our October trip. They faxed me confirmation and said our excursions would be charged to our account once we got on the ship. I was also told we had up to two days before the cruise to cancel or make any changes.
