Booking Exactly at 8am

Sometimes I get the “outside the booking window” message when I use that method on Chrome. Most times, I don’t. I think it has more to do with how many people are also on right at 8 AM and trying for that same elusive BWV standard view studio.

I used kidani Savannah view studio as my test today so I can rule out category getting fully booked.

Was able to look at 7:50 for BLT lake view and hit continue got outside booking window. Refreshed at 7:53 and hit continued at 8:00 was able to book my stay. Used an iPad on Safari.

I did the same test this morning on Safari on my iPhone and was able to get through to a fully open savannah view studio searched a few minutes before and then continue about 30 seconds after 8:00. Crazy that there is different behavior for different browsers and the error message for all rooms full is the same as the message for being too early. Oh well, at least I know a little better how to play the game now.

What are you trying to book?

Sometimes if you are kidani trying to book jambo or the opposite it does not give you 11 month priority.

I'm trying to book a waitlist at the 7 month window. I can create a waitlist for October 6, but not for October 7. I guess I'll have to call Member Services at 9am when they open.

In the end, after a conversation with the fam, we ended up moving our reservation to start on the 6th anyway.

Still no clue what was going on with the website, though.

At 8:00am on my cellphone, I’d hit search. The room I’d want would show up, I’d select it, hit continue, and receive the message that I’m outside my resort availability window even though it’s 11am. And of course the room is gone when I refresh the search.

Should I not even queue up the search page till 8am? Or should I go to the results and wait till 8am to hit continue?

From reports, when you hit book, it will double check for availability again and if in that split second, the room is confirmed from someone else, you get that message because the date of check in you wanted isn’t there anymore...so technically, you are outside the window because the system sees the first date the next day...ie: it’s reading your request as check in November 9th.

I have always keyed up like you and have had success, Just did yesterday with a SV room at RIV, which by the time I confirmed it and went back, to see, they were gone in less than the minute it took me to get mine booked,

I truly think it is luck of the draw for those hard to get rooms!

So it was good to get it this morning as I was about out of time and now I have most of my dates so I won't need to walk very far. Definitely keep trying. It took me awhile to get mine, but then I was able to get two in a week. It’s just luck of the draw!
