Booking direct with Disney world?

I've always gone with virgin but looking for a good deal so did a search and see that I can book direct with disneyworld.com and get free dining, $200 gift card plus more.

Has anyone booked with them before? Is it easy to do? Can you pay it bit by bit? Please share your experiences.

Hi, we have booked with Disney uk direct and they are great, small deposit then pay the balance however you wish plus you get extra discounts and vouchers too!

We have always booked direct with Disney. We pay the balance off once we have saved it all up makes it feel all the more real to know its all paid off.

They send you all your discount vouchers with the rest of your documents. Some good offers for places like basin and the DTD balloon flight as well.

Staff very friendly and helpful if you have any queries.

I think it was easy to book it. I booked it online and everything's been good so far. I didn't know you could pay bit by bit when I booked though, so I payed the whole thing when booking it Now I just have to wait for the actual trip!

We have been with Disney Direct and it was really great, I used to pay online a bit at a time and the deposits were reasonable. You used to be able to book well in advance and have virgin flights included, but now you can't seem to do that which is a shame. Anyone know why this changed?

you can only get flight inclusive on the disney website up to 11 month in advance , you can book and add the flight later though

The same deal for this year needed to be booked by 30th June 2011 !!!

If you are signed up to Quidco, go the the WDW website via them and you get about 3% cashback too. I booked via them and will be due over £120 when it comes through. A nice little bit of extra spending money.

I do use quidco, but would not dream of putting up a link for fear of refferal accusations. Just google it.

I think 3% is the standard offer which they up to 4% from time to time, so I'd imagine it would just go back down to the 3%.

Hi, we have just booked through Charter Travel for Oct 2013 and they were cheaper than Disney plus flights were in the booking albeit Virgin flights can't be booked more than 11 months out.

Just wanted to add, Charter Travel had some fantastic quotes for the Virgin/Disney Direct holidays Id been looking at... Whilst I was awaiting a call from one of their advisers I happened to come across Travel City Direct (AKA Still Virgin) and they had certain hotels for far less. For example:

Virgin Quoted

POFQ for £8700 21 nights 2 adults and 1 child

Charter Travel quoted: £7300...

But whilst I was on the TCD website I found:

OKW 21 nights (only a £300 deposit) for only £7500

All included a disney dining plan however TCD do not offer the $200 Gift Card (only £130ish)

Therefore I jumped at the chance to upgrade to a Deluxe for £200 and saved £450 in deposit!

It may not be ideal for your holiday but these are cerainly places to look at.

PS the holiday I did go for with TCD I just quoted on Virgin and its £10300!!!
