Booking Dining with DVC Res #

Just wanted to share that my 180 window opened today. I went on the online site at 7:00 am this morning.

I was able to enter my DVC reservation, but I had to do it a few times to get it to take.

But, once it did, I was able to make up to 10 days worth of reservations. I even have a segmented trip and it didn't affect things at all. So, if you enter and it says it doesn't exist, just try and type it again.

Thanks. Glad you got it to work. My ADR day is next Tuesday so I'm getting my list together. The last time I had to make ADRs for my May trip (November) the system was doing their upgrade and I made the ADR daily or semi daily because it would not let us use the 180. I could've call, but I didn't have any thing I had to get. I've since revamped that list several times and that trip is 11 weeks away. I did have to call for LeCellier for dinner since it can't be done online. I called yesterday and had any day I wanted for the first week of May with several times to choose. I could not believe how available many places were for our early May trip and that was for a party of 6 for several of my ADRs.

I was able to make my ADR's online also for our June trip. Once I got our reservation to take, it worked great! I was even able to book a fantasmic dining package which MS said could not be done, I got the time I had originally requested from MS (they said it was not available)

OP--When you added your BWV, did you get a new reservation number? When I added a day at BLT, I did get a new number (after the system change) and I was able to paste right from the email.

Re: LeCellier--there were dates/times available for August, but I figure a couple things, it's far enough from the 2 credit change and maybe it's because I am not linked to the dining plan.

Got my Tusker House breakfast, Citricos date night and a couple others. For the most part, still plenty of availability for August.

No, my entire reservation is all under one reservation #. I have it segmented into 4 segments--night 1 @ BWV, night 2 @ BWV, night 3 @ BLT, and night 4 and 5 at BLT. However, it is all linked together.

I was able to get my August Le Cellier reservations as well (two different days since my DD 18 and her friends may be coming with us but won't know for a few weeks). We are eating lunch there since we are on the dining plan that day we planned to eat there and did not want to use 2 TS credits.

We are now doing QSDP night 1, DxDDP night 2, and DDP for night 3. Nights 4 and 5, will be nothing. The last two meals the girls picked were Tusker House and Ohana breakfast, which are not that expensive--not worth getting the DDP for these days.

But I have not yet added any of the plans to my reservation. Will do that in July.

I just went in to "play around" yesterday and it is definitely different from what I remember using this same time last year.

Could you give us a step-by-step of how you were able to link them all to your DVC ressie?

You have to sign in to your wdw account. Then, I was given a screen to input my res. number. My last name was already inserted. I had to put in the number (copy and pasted from my res email) and make sure the arrival date is correct (it defaults to today).

What I didn't remember from making ADRs in Oct 2009, and DH did all of our Aug 2010 ADRs, is that you have to go back to the main dining screen to change the times. You can add/change locations, but you have to go back to change time options.

If you want to play around, you need to use a date within the 180 days--like Aug. 10 or 11.

I didn't log in first but just clicked the button that says "I want to link to my dining plan", even though I didn't have a dining plan yet.

Once I clicked on that, it gave me the log in screen for my account. Once logged in, it was the same process as PP mentioned. Enter your res # and the check in date.

I start out at the DVC member site, then click on "book dining online" on the right hand side of the screen under Plan My Vacation.

It sounds like the 2/7 "fixes" must have worked for this issue, let hope they fixed everyting else.
