Booking dining for 2 rooms

How do I book dining for 2 rooms? Both rooms have DDP. One room is under my name and the 2nd room is a friend's room. . I reserved both rooms under my MDE account. If I book all 5 under my reservation number does the computer recognize there are 5 Or do I have to book 2 under my reservation and 3 under her reservation?

I am planning a mom and older daughter trip but being 6 months out, I may need to change and add my toddler and a helper the trip. Can I add 2 extra to my dining reservation now even though we don't have them on the trip reservation yet? Would I need to pre-pay for those extra 2 spots for things like the Castle?

ADRs are not linked to your resort reservation (except for giving you the 180+10). Book for how ever many people are going to be there, it doesn't matter if there is more or less than your resort reservation.

Yes, it's better to make them for the maximum amount of people that could be coming. You won't be charged a fee if only 6 of the 8 (for example) show up, as long as one person shows up. It's a lot easier than trying to find a new reservation at a later date.But yes, you will be charged up front for CRT (and dining shows) unless you are on the DDP.

5 of us have DDP in 2 different rooms. So how does the system recognize the other people not in my room when I make the reservation? Or as long as I have DDP then I'm fine no matter how many on the reservation? I book tomorrow and need to know how to do.

Make your reservations for the maximum number of people who will be at the table. It doesn't matter if they are in 2 rooms, separate dining plans or if some are off site or local residents. Once you are at the restaurant your server will ask about dining plans and at that time you can tell the server who is on each dining plan.
