Booking DCL on Points For Special Cruise?

Just checking the DVC points charts online and considering booking one of the Mexican itineraries out of L.A. this summer. Has anyone booked one of those yet? Just curious if anyone has the prices from Member Services for adding on an adult with cash? Thanks everyone!

My guess is the DVC prices are probably pretty close to DCL's since most of the West Coast itineraries are almost completely sold out. Most of the itineraries, if there are openings are only giving a guarantee status. We booked on the 7/9/05 sailing just before Christmas, and that was one of the only sailings that had ANY type of availability. The West Coast sailings are currently being sold at full rack rate (if you will) so just look in any DCL brochure and take the highest price listed by category.

We also booked way back in May when the dates/itinerary came out for the west coast came out. We are on the July 2nd cruise. At the time, we booked two cabins with cash and when our eleven month window opened up, we called MS and booked one cabin with points and cancelled one of the cash cabins. Now that was in August and our cruise also had only limited availability. Good luck and keep us updated - make your calls now.
