Booking concierge/club level with DVC points also club level ???s

Thinking of renting DVC points for our 10th anniversary in April (no kids, woohoo!). Being within 6 months, I want the concierge to do our ADRs and FP reservations for us. Can we rent DVC points and do club level?

Also, I read that there is a $45 AK tour offered to those staying at club level. Has anyone done this? Do you have to have tickets to AK and/or stay at AKL to take advantage of this?

Finally, DH wants to stay at the Beach Club to access the nightlife. I like this idea a lot, but have only stayed at AOA on property before, so this is an upgrade, obviously. Am I missing out by not staying at Poly or AKL or any other property at club level for that matter?

The only DVC with club level is AKL, and you will not get it renting. There are a very limited number, and they require an owner at AKL to be online at 8am 11 months out, and even then they may not get the room. Within 6 months, this is not an option.

So, no. You cannot rent DVC points and do club level.

The only DVC that has CL is AKL, and from my understanding that books up real fast at 11 months out (when DVC members can begin booking at their home resorts).

AKL-CL used to have the Breakfast Safari at AK. This was a tour of KS before the park opened. It was the same as the ride, just not rushed with more information provided. The safari was followed by a private breakfast buffet at Pizzafari. The cost was $65. We did it back in 2011, but it has since been discontinued. There is still the Wanyama Safari which is available to all AKL (including DVC). This runs about $200 per person (tax and gratuity included). We also did this back in 2011 and are doing it for our anniversary in May.

The PP is correct, there's virtually no chance you'd get one of the handful of club level villas at this very late date. They've probably all been booked since last May.

The CL AKL DVC units are the hardest DVC units to book for DVC members, without competition. There are some room types/seasons that are hairy, but basically there are 5 2BR lock-off units in Jambo House for DVC CL. They can be booked as either a 2BR unit, or as a studio and a 1BR. So at the max, there are 10 total units.
