I hadn't realised that there were so few units1 We managed to get a 1-bed for 4 nights at the beginning of August at the 7month window. I am glad I didn't know they were so difficult to get as I had already scheduled the dates into our none-flexible plan long before we could book!

You'll LOVE the villas, and if you plan to cook, they have 2 great gas grills to use, along with the full kitchen. We had friends stay on the pull out sofa, and they made Jambalaya one night in the room, and we cooked steaks on the grills the next.
There are so many new eateries at DCA, I won't miss my kitchen, as we want to sample all the new places.
As for not many DVC units available, I am really surprised DVC isn't adding more villas out here.

I sure wish they would...I'd buy more points I'm sure hee hee! I second using the grills, they're great- and a nice place to eat outside right there with them. The kids played on the grass, while we adults had a brew or two and grilled our steaks, listening to the sounds of Paradise Pier.

Although various valets/bellboys/etc have told me about that mythical DLH DVC. I didn't believe it, but since the long-rumored GF DVC is true, maybe that will be too? One can hope!

We are looking for a 2 night stay any day, or week. No Studios were available for any date, according to the alternate offers they list. Single nights were available for a one, or two bedroom during each month. I don't like to book a single night, as you don't get a full 24 hours of having the villa.
Our request for a 2 night stay in Oct. at PP came through, our other request did not. I will call MS as they can tell me right away which vacancies there are, and I can grab them. We are very flexible with whichever dates are open. I will be more diligent about booking right at 7 months from now on.
The same goes for dining at Carthay Circle, we'll try to get ADR's as soon as we know we have a room. Carsland, and Buena Vista Street are the big draw for us, and everyone we know. Plus both parks have been totally repainted, refreshed etc. New bobsleds on Matterhorn, new dining places at both parks are almost ready to open. So we want to get a bunch of 2 night stays if available.

I have a studio villa booked for Oct 9-12 at GC. I only need October 9 as we have a 4 night stay in a 1BR starting on the 10 so I have a 2 night overlap due to my daughter not needing the room those 2 nights. Does anyone know if I can split the studio stay and rent the nights of 10 and 11th to someone? I have to call MS and see what my options are if the points for the 10 and 11 can't be bank to 2013. If I can't bank those points for use in 2013 then I would try to rent that 2 nights to someone as I don't want them in holding. Has anyone done this kind of a split?

Now that you mention it, I was such an idiot for not bringing all the side dishes out to the tables by the grills to serve dinner. What a perfect spot to watch the goings on in DCA!
We've heard the 4rth tower at Disneyland Hotel DVC rumors too.
We always take cocktails disguised in our refillable mugs to the grill area after the parks close to watch the maintenance on the attractions, or go over to the outdoor fireplace at GC with our mugs, or a cigar with some high priced brandy and get online to check out Facebook.
