Booking before 2014 prices are out

If I book my room now, when the prices for 2014 come out in a couple weeks, will my room only price go up? I was hoping to call back and add on the AAA discount but if the prices go up, the AAA might be the same as what I am paying now...Any idea how this works??

The prices come out in 10 days on the 10th I would just wait if I were you.

If you book now, you will be quoted at the highest rate for 2013 for that particular resort/room type, which will automatically be adjusted once the 2014 rates are released. I agree with the pp that since the 2014 rates are due out July 10th, I'd wait and book with the actual rate.

Oh that is wonderful news. I didn't know it went by the highest rate!! I only booked out of paranoia because I wanted Pop for marathon weekend and the royal rooms at POR for princess weekend, so I figured the earlier I booked the better. I'll just call back and have them both adjusted when the time comes! Thank you!

On May 23 I made a room only reservation for Feb. 2014. In today's mail I received a letter stating that the 2014 room rates had been established and my balance due upon check-in would be reduced to reflect the lower than expected total cost. I called hoping that I could modify my reservation for a AAA rate (was told when I booked that I would have to wait until 2014 room rates had been established) but was told that they only have AAA discounts showing through August 2013 at the current time. This makes no sense to me because in other threads I have read of persons booking several months in advance with a AAA discount.

I did try calling a different Disney reservation number hoping to get a different cast member that might know more but I got the same CM, how weird is that? When I mentioned that I would just wait until July 10th when the 2014 package rates are available. The CM said that she had not heard anything about the package rates coming out next week so I just told her that I had heard from multiple sources that they would be.
