Booking BCV during July or Aug not home resort

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has experience trying to book beach club during July or August if it isn't your home resort? What are the odds that we might get in if we said we can travel anytime during those two months, but it isn't our home resort?

I tried August 2012 but couldn't get what I wanted which was a 2 bedroom

Decent chance for last half of July or early August; less so for time near July 4 or second half of Aug.

We have got into a 2 bedroom 2x in 2011 and 2009 couldn't in 2014. It was the 2nd week of August for each.. It is all luck. Good Luck!! We were able to get into Boardwalk though..

You can always book your home resort at 11 months out and then cancel and change to BCV if it is available at seven months out. But try to get it right away at seven months out.
