Booking an ADR for 3 when it's really for 2... tis ok?

We did this after being unable to get a reservation for 4 at Ohana for over a month. No one cared. Disney is simply trying to fill all available seats.

We have a reservation for CRT for 7. Now that I made it, there's a possiblity that an 8th might join us. Would that be a problem to change when we check in at the resort? I didn't think it would be since won't we be scheduled for a table for 8 regardless?

Not necessarily. You may be seated at a 6 top table. They often seat odd numbers at a size down and squeeze in and save the larger tables for true parties of 8 that will bring in more money.

I admit to booking a CRT ressie for 6 wehn I had 5 going (I think it's ridiculous that you can't make a reservation because you don't have an even number). I may get flamed for saying so, but FWIW, if booking up at somewhere like CRT....infants are free.

I dont think its a big deal to bump up from 3 to 4 because your gonna get a table for 4 anyway. However if there is only 2 people and you say you have 3 they are gonna give you a table for 4. Thus denying someone else that table.

::yes::

So my answer is a question. Are you ok with taking up the extra space? You'll get lots of people here saying it's ok and lots saying it's not.
