Booking AKV and asking for Kidani???

Okay now that I am A PROUD OWNER OF AKV....... do we request Kidani or is that not guaranteed at time of booking? Could we get put in Jambo house and not the new area?

Yes, you'll want to request Kidani if that's where you'd like to stay. Reservations are available for dates beginning in May, 2009. At this time, only AKV owners may reserve Kidani, but beginning on October 1, 2008 other DVC members will be able to make 7 month reservations there too.

I was at the preview center today and asked a guide that question. I was told that as of now all AKV reservations for after May 2009 will be assigned KIDANI building. Jambo house will only be used as overflow. That means you do not have to ask for KIDANI but if they are booked you could get JAMBO if that is all that is left.

I believe that you can request either one. It is assigned when you book your reservation.

When you reserve at AKV, you will know at the time of the reservation which building you will be in. Kidani Village and Jambo House are booking categories.

And also remember that both Concierge rooms and Value rooms are only available in Jambo, so if you book one of those categories you will be in Jambo.

Yes, both the Standard view and Savanna view points are the same in both Jambo and Kidani.

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I've read that all the standard view rooms at Jambo are pool views. Kidani will be either pool or road/parking lot.

You are correct. However, standard at Kidani also includes a garden view
