So I recently booked a me, myself, and I trip to WDW for Jan. 6-12, 2013. I originally had planned on booking my airfare seperate from my room and ticket package, but after clicking on the add a flight option, the price for airfare was the same as what it had been on Expedia and Priceline. So I went ahead and booked the airfare through Disney. On my conformation email, it shows my flights, and the seat numbers, but it doesn't give me any kind of conformation with the airline. Will I get that, or do I need to call the airline to make sure I really do have seats on these flights. I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake doing this. Thanks for any help.

I would expect that if the confirmation shows seat numbers then the system must have gone far enough to actually book the flights with the airline.

But the real test of whether you are confimed is having the designation "OK" next to each flight segment.

Is there a six character code (may have some letters and some digits) associated with your complete itinerary and shown on your papers? You can use this to track your reservation directly with the airline.

Booking with Disney does have some iffiness. Some recent posters have reported difficulties selecting better alternate flights through on line travel agents including Disney when the airline made a schedule change that severely adversely affected their vacation plans.

I will say this yet again....and it used to make me very nervous to do it myself back years ago, so I understand how some may feel...but, you are best served by booking your airfare directly with the airline. If there are any issues, you have little recourse when using a middle man..and Disney, Priceline and Expedia are all middlemen!!!
It's too late for the OP, but others can learn from some posters' bad experiences. If there are any kinds of issues, the middleman isn't always great in helping to get things resolved.

I'm sure the OP is going to be just fine with her airfare booking. When it comes time to check in, and print out boarding passes, you can just plug in your itinerary number (for your flight portion of the reservation) and check in.

Thanks for the input. I called WDW yesterday and she was able to give me my conformation number for Delta. I checked with Delta and all is good. I was able to give them my email so if there are any changes with my itinerary they will email me. Hope there's not, though I know there probably will be. Last year my flight to Ireland changed like 8 times. I am crossing my fingers not too much changes, cause the flight right now has me getting into MCO at 11:30am. Hopefully I will be at AS Music by 1:30 and off to a park by 3!
