Booking after PIF

For all of our cruises (5) we have booked the first day. Now that prices have risen quite a bit, we're considering waiting until after the PIF date for a European cruise.

What sort of discounts are available at that time?
Is it still possible to get good port adventures? Or find independent tours with space available?

There aren't necessarily any discounts after the PIF date. On some cruises that DCL deems as not selling well, there may be some last minute restricted rates, but it only happens occasionally. Also possible - Florida Resident or Military discounts, but again, not every cruise will have a discount offered.

It's certainly possible to get "good" port adventures. Of course, "good" for me may not be so for you. Independent tours are always a possibility.

A lot of the European cruises sell well so there are no discounts. Even if there are, the prices are still generally higher than if you book early. Also, note that PIF for European cruises is 120 days, so not everyone who is PIF is in their booking window for port adventures. So depending on your CC level, there may still be lots of tours available as of 120 days.

I also made changes to our port adventures within 90 days or so. In fact, a few adult only versions were added after the PIF date.

What European cruise are you considering? Several of them are still at opening day prices. The prices are just really high this year.
