Hi again!!

Well its nearly time for me to book my first ever ADR's - how exciting!!!

I know its probably on here somewhere but just wanted to check - We have booked through Virgin holidays - Am I right in thinking I need my Virgin Booking reference to book the ADR's??? Do I need anything else???

Plus - I have specific days and approx times in mind - When you ring to book , do you normally have a backup plan with you incase you can't get exactly what you want???

Also, if say there isn't a table available at 6pm - will the CM advise automatically advise you if for example there was a 6.30pm opening or would you have to ask them ??? :confused3 (Hope that makes sense!!:rotfl: )

Thanks for any advice !!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

i'm sure someone with more experience can confirm but i cant recall being asked for a booking number just the date of arrival and where we were stayng and the operators offered the nearest times available to what we wanted. Hope this helps Gill

Ok, if you are using the 180 days + 10 days for staying on site then they may well ask for the virgin booking reference, so it might be handy to have it in case. I normally have my itinerary out in front of me when I phone so I can think on my feet if I can't get what I want, like if I was in Epcot that day i would have a couple of back ups in mind, but if you are booking at 180 days out I seriously doubt you won't get what you want, the average wdw traveller won't be aware of 180 days or booking in advance at all, so dont' worry too much about this.
Regarding times, the CM will ask you what time you would like your ADR for, and then give you all the closest times to it for your party, so they won't just say sorry not available, for a 6pm they will say " i have a 5:45, a 6, a 6:10" etc. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get everything you want, let us know how it goes.
Sending :wizard: just in case;)

I find it helps if I have my calendar handy, so I can be flexible with dates and times so that I get what I want.

You may want to pencil in your other reservations first, like Mickeys Very Merry, etc. so that you have an idea where you'll be.

thank you all for that - I'm so excited about booking them!!!! I will try and have a couple of alternatives just incase - although I'm not planning on doing Cinderella's breakfast in the castle or Le Cellier so i'm hoping i'll get all my first choices!!!

thanks again!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

;) OOh - one more question!!!;)

We are meeting up with friends for breakfast at Chef Mickeys one morning - can I book for all of us??? Or can you only make reservatinos for the size of your own party???

thanks again!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

You can make reservations for however many you want, whether they are staying with you or not, so no problems there:thumbsup2

We've never had any probs booking ADR 180 days in advance, even when free DDP was on this year. We got all restaurants we wanted with 20 mins of the time we requested-I even rang back a couple of weeks later and swapped a couple around (change in plans). But as previously suggested be prepared with alternatives just in case. Good luck.
