Booking ADR if not staying on-site

If we go to WDW this summer, we'll be staying off-site with my parents' timeshare. We will be spending most our time at WDW and want to try for some ADRs at favorite restaurants. Do we have same ADR privileges as on property guests or are the rules different? Thanks!!!!

You're able to make ADRs just like anybody else beginning at 90 days out. The one thing you can't do that onsite guests can is that onsite guests can begin booking ADRs 90 days out from the start of their stay, up to 10 additional days out from that date.

Ok, so if I want something for Aug, 4, let's say, I have to call exactly 90 days from that day, even if that day in the middle of my vacation, where Disney would let me call and book the whole week, starting with the first day of my vacation. Got it!

That's right! I found that unless you have a really large party (more than 8) that you'll still be able to get in just about anywhere at almost any time you want if you call at the 90 (used to be 180) day mark.

Unless you plan on eating at some really hard to get into places, you'll probably be okay waiting until you hit 90 days for the last day of your vacation and calling. If you want Le Cellier or Chef Mickeys or CRT, I would call on the right day for those. Otherwise, call when you hit the 90 days at the end of your vacation and save yourself answering all those questions!
