Booking ADR for parks at sea

Our 60 day ADR booking opens while we are at sea. Has anyone booked while on DCL? I love booking our own dining reservations, but internet connectivity isn’t usually an issue. I’ve heard the WiFi on board isn't the best. Any advice? I could always have someone else book and hope they get what we want. I would rather do it myself though if it’s possible. Thank you!

While things have improved a bit over the years, it would all be dependent on how well shippernet is working. Never a guarantee when you're at sea on a moving ship.

Hi! We were on a cruise when booking opened for our next cruise. We talked to guest services, and they said we could call at no charge or use Wi-Fi to book. This was a couple of years ago,(2021) and wi-fi wasn't very good at that time. They activated wi-fi temporarily for us and I was able to book faster than my husband who was on the phone. I suggest you talk to guest services.

I had this happen and I had paid for the old WiFi package that didn’t work and struggled to get ADRs and then I was showing someone how I couldn’t get it to work and had forgotten to sign into the paid WiFi and was was just using the ship WiFi for the navigator and the Disney app worked to book ADRs I think because they are on the same Disney IT platform and aren’t filtered out. So try the regular disney app to see if it works while at sea before buying the internet package. We have purchased the internet package now that they have the new starlink system and it works great. We buy the unlimited for one device and share the login across our families devices at different times. My husband has a crazy long streak on duolingo and he doesn’t want to lose it while cruising.
