Booking activities/port adventures - how to check availability

Hi! We just booked our 2nd disney cruise and it sails in about 60 days! Our last cruise was just shy of 2 years ago.

Has the way you book activities and port adventures changed? I'm pretty sure I remember being able to book a time slot but then also being able to check availability of other time slots without losing your already booked spot. If you decided to book the new slot, it asked you to confirm and advised that your other reservation would be cancelled. This was at about 2 weeks prior to sailing as we booked that cruise only 2.5 weeks out that time.

Today I reserved a slot for the Disney Jr breakfast (we had to book this last time too) at 9:45am and that's way too late for us. Later this afternoon I tried to check availability of other slots/days but it would only let me do so if I cancelled the original spot I reserved. This of course makes me worry that in the time I'm checking even my personally less desirable slot will be scooped up. Any other way to check availability? Also, it shows me available times (eg. 9, 9:15) but when I selected them it would then say not available. Any tips? Thanks all!

I experienced the same thing, for a few of our activities. If you see a time but it’s grayed out, it may be because you have a conflict with booking this time, either because it’s an activity that is available to you only once during the cruise and you’ve booked a time, or you have another activity booked at this time. Hope you get what you want. I was able to rebook the activity I was required to cancel in order to see different times. It was stressful Hope all goes well for you. Enjoy your cruise.

If you call DCL, they can check availability for you. I had this same problem with a Remy reservation I wanted to change, but couldn't check availability without first cancelling the reservation I had. I called DCL and the CM checked availability for me.
