I have some probably some dumb questions about booking/cancelling airfare through points. I have exclusively flown Southwest for years (they're policies were super easy); however, they've drastically reduced the number of flights going to MCO from my airport, so I'm expanding my horizons.
I'm looking to book airfare using my husband's Chase points he got from his Sapphire Preferred card. American Airlines has a flight that would work for me. This flight is nonrefundable. However, if I book using Chase points and have to cancel, would I be credited points back?
What if the airline cancels the flight? (I'm flying out the last flight of the day during the Winter.). Would I be credited back Chase reward points? Or AA points? Cash?
I can find information on AA cancellation policies but nothing if the travel is booked through Chase. My apologies if these are dumb questions.
Thank you!
