Booking a stay with banked and borrowed points.

I think I understand what I need to do, but since it's the first time I am using my points, I want to make sure I do things right.
I want to book either October or November 2022.

I have:
50 points June 2021
50 points June 2022
50 points June 2023

At 11 months prior, I can bank the 2021 points and borrow up to 25 2023 points, giving me a total of 125 points for the reservation at my home resort.

When I book this online (I avoid phone calls as much as possible), can I select my reservation dates first and then do the bank/borrow while I am holding my room?

If I have to cancel, the 2021 points and the 2023 point have to be used before June 2023. These are resale points. If I can't use them for DVC, do I have the option to use in RCI or anything else?

You have all of that correct but you can actually bank your June 2021 points on 6/1/2021 if you wish. There's no need to wait.

Since they are resale points, you will not be able to use them for the Disney Collection. Renting them out or transferring to RCI will be your only options for using them other than DVC.

Definitely get those points banked before you actually book. No need to wait until the day, If you don’t want to do it too soon, you can do it even the day before, but this way, it’s not taking time away from getting the room booked,

Borrowing can only happen when you make the reservation so that piece is easy.

Another thing to do is just make sure the lead guest‘s name is correct but dont worry about adding others right away. You can modify later,

This way, you don’t risk an issue with the system going down and then you lose it!
