Booking a single night

We'll be in Orlando for 10 nights at the beginning of November, 2005. We have a timeshare booked Saturday to Saturday but need accomodation for the Friday night of our arrival and then the Saturday & Sunday night before we leave. Given that it is low season I expect lots of vacancy at the various WDW resorts. What are the chances of rates at the various resorts being lower a week or two before arrival?

What would you do. Book now, or wait. We are open as to which resort we stay at and will stay at either a moderate or deluxe resort.

None at all, unless you have an AP or are a member of AAA. Disney hasn't offered general room discounts for quite a few months and it doesn't appear at this point that they're planning to in the foreseeable future.

Weekend visits are quite popular during the Food & Wine Festival - you may find availability for Friday and Saturday nights is already limited. I would book something now and make note of the cancellation policy. You can cancel if you snag a discount before you have to cancel.

You might also consider an off site resort or one of the Downtown Disney Resorts if you need a less expensive option (than rack rate at one of the on site resorts).
