Booking a room via internet?

When you all make reservations over the web for the Universal resorts, do you fill in the number of people that are staying in the room?
The reason I asked is I was just checking the prices and I forgot to put in the number of people we will have in the room. A Garden View room came up for a FAN Club rate (I do have a card) for only $202. I was ecstatic! I then realized that I had not put in the number of people sharing the room. Of course the price went up then. :(
I just wonder how many people made that mistake when booking a room over the net? What happened when you go to check in and you have more people? Is the original rate still honored? We already have a room booked at PBR. Had this originally happened to me, it would be an honest mistake.

Also, I have been told that the FAN Club cards are no longer being used. So why do they have the rate listed?

Yeah,, the cost changes with more than 2 adults in the room. Any one under 18 tho, is still considered a child, so don't add them as an adult when checking the cost online.

I didnt' know that about the fan club card. That is a pity, I know people were saving alot by using that.

You can still book a room using the FAN code, they just don't ask for the card anymore.
As for the room cost...my question was...if you booked online at the 2 person price, and then you check-in, will Lowe's call you on it and charge you more?

If you only book for two people, you will only get 2 FOTL passes for the parks at check in unless you let them know you need more. Of course this is why the price goes up. Some hotels will offer the same rate for 4 people as for 2.

My room is booked through AAA. Is it worth the trouble to get the FAN rate and save $15? I will leave the number of people in our room as 5 (4 adults and 1 child).

It seems our question is are you going to use fotl access for everyone in your party..if so..you need to list them all on the reservation. If you aren't going into the parks at all, then it doesn't really matter.

I'm confused now. When I booked on the internet, (loew's website), it only asked for number of adults. I didn't worry about it because I knew (or I think I know) kids under 17 are free. Am I correct in assuming that they will also get FOTL passes? I'm quite sure there was not a spot to indicate number of children when making the reservation.

Tell me, please, is there something I need to do to make sure they also get FOTL passes.

Your children will get rooms keys. The room key is the FOTL "pass". There is no charge for children 17 and under in the <A TITLE="Click for more information about hotel" STYLE="text-decoration: none; border-bottom: medium solid green;" HREF="http://search.targetwords.com/u.search?x=5977|1||||hotels|AA1VDw">hotel</A>. If there are more than two adults (18 and over), there is an extra charge for that person.

You did the correct thing. My children are 23, 19 and 16. So, we will have 4 adults and 1 child.
We will be using the parks for one day only and are staying two nights. It really bothers me though to be paying an extra night for that pass when we are not using it.
