Booking a room but not staying there on check in day?

Would there be any issues with booking a room package but not staying there on check in day?

For example, check in day is the 24th but I don't arrive until early the 25th? We are driving so want to be able to go directly to our room when we arrive and not have to wait until check in time on the 25th.

As long as the room is PIF, no issues at all. We almost always arrive anywhere between midnight and 3AM and once around 8AM due to a work issue.

Agree with previous poster, but it wouldn't hurt to call the hotel and let them know you'll be arriving early on the 25th.

Nope no issue. They only get concerned if you don't check-in by the second day.

Yes that is the best way to have a room to go to directly when you arrive vs waiting until 3 PM or 4 PM+ for DVC.
