NEVERMIND: I just received the 20/30/40 thru Dec. PIN email!!!!!!
No more worries about booking with AAA. :) YAY!!!!:cheer2:

I assume that if you wish to get a AAA discount on a room/ticket/dining package you still need to book directly through AAA, correct? A few years ago I had the name and email of a great AAA TA in NC (or was it SC?), and she was very helpful. I have lost that email address. :(

If there is anyone who can recommend a good AAA TA and provide their name and email address via a PM, I would really appreciate it.

FYI: My local AAA will not mail our package info to me, and they are 80+ miles away!

Not quite...

AAA packages (room, tickets and/or dining) include a 10% (or 15%) discount on the room portion. These can only be booked via AAA.

However, AAA room only reservations (same discounts) can be booked directly with Disney or AAA.

If an offer comes out later (PIN, DVR, public) these can be applied by whomever you did the reservation with (AAA or Disney Travel).

To answer your question about AAA agents... The local office can help with any type of travel arrangements, however they might or might not have a Disney specialist. Worse, they might not be easily available if a public offer comes out, to adjust it. But the AAA region office (the 800 number in the back of your card) typically has it's own (phone only) TAs, and some that are what they are called Disney specialist.

Those are the ones that will know when an offer comes out and will directly apply them to existing reservations without you even asking. We did ours a few years ago like this. There was a rumor of a FD offer coming out on a Thursday and when I called to find out where I could call her on that day, she was starting her vacation. First, she noted on the account that any other agent could touch the reservation while she was out, but even better, on that morning (at 6am) she sent an email that she had applied the public code - on her vacation day!.

I don't think she's there anymore, or else I would be glad to send you her email. That said, I now just do my ressies directly with Disney.

I could be mistaken, but I believe AAA is room only or tickets only discounts. When you buy a package through them it's the same price as with Disney.
Worth checking into.:confused3

AAA Magic Moments packages consist of the AAA discount on the room portion of the package.Tickets, dining etc are the same pricing as Disney. If booking a general public promo then there is no AAA discount on the room portion so this would be the same as booking directly with Disney. You would still get the components of the AAA package like the Diamond card and parking pass etc. Always check a few ways to see what is best for you :)

Nevermind - I got a PIN!!

AAA can take a hike!! ;) (JJ)

YAY for you on the pin!

If she's referring to the SC woman - she's still there. At least that's the person several Dis'ers referred me to a couple years ago. We're still using her, and very happy :)

I have been booking with a AAA agent in the Charleston/Mount Pleasant area of South Carolina for several years. Last year her office moved. Found that out the hard way a few weeks ago.
