If I book a vacation through Disney.com for a DL vacation but book offsite hotles and inlcude tickets for other locals that they offer through the site, will I still get the 6 months no interest?

Also is it better to go in February, April, or October?

I would be going during my kids Spring break which will probably take us into the first week of May since I want to be out there for 10 days. I would lvoe for them to miss as little school as possible on this trip.

Thanks!

Have you called visa? I know my hubby just had to call for other questions regarding the 6months no int. thing... he got an answer and was off the phone in less than about 5 minutes. Might try that if nobody here helps you out.

he just said he has to call them again... Ill have him ask your question, too... hang on a couple minutes.

Nope. No deal if you stay at good neighbor... and you also can not book thru costco. Bummer for us! We cant stay at resort hotel, they're all booked up!

pyrxtc,

I just booked a Disneyland vacation using a Disney Visa. Here are my tips:

1) Do NOT book your vacation online at Disneyland.com. Instead, call the Disneyland phone number (available on Disneyland.com) and talk to a cast member to book your trip. Not only will they get you a better deal, but they will fill you in on the Disney Visa perks.

2) You will get no interest for 6 months on your Disney Visa as long as you book your entire package through Disney. This includes a Good Neighbor Hotel (I am staying at Red Roof Inn (Motel 6)). A package includes resort tickets and a hotel stay (also includes transportation if applicable).

3) When they ask for your method of payment, make SURE to tell them it is a Disney Visa. (Note: The entire balance of your vacation has to be paid with your Disney Visa. For example, you can not pay with your debit card and then pay another payment with your visa. It has to all be on your Disney Visa.)

4) I booked my vacation for the end of May and the perks for using a Disney Visa are awesome! Like I said, I am staying at a Motel 6 (Red Roof Inn). I am getting a backpack, lanyard/pin, collectable coin, preferred seating for the Aladdin musical and parades, 20% off tours and select dining, and much more! (I would have to pull out my vacation papers to list all the awesome perks!)

In short, if you stay at a good neighbor hotel and book through Disney Travel then yes, the Disney Visa deal applies to you.

Hope that helps!

As for the tickets that Disney offers for other attractions, I'm not sure. That would be a question for your Disney Cast Member.

IMHO, if the rain doesn't bother you. I would suggest October (BEFORE the Halloween season). If you would rather have a better chance for warm/slightly cloudy weather, April would be best.

Also, note that during this spring season, Disneyland Railroad and Fantasmic! are closed and the Finding Nemo Submarines don't open until June 11.

I got my info from VISA, so it sounds like the disney folks handle it differently.. I will try calling them instead of costco... but costco gives you a free character breakfast, and that is a pretty darn good perk. Also, a gift card $20, pins lanyards, one coin... and I think one more small thing but I cant remember what it was. Ill have to do the math and see if the interest is worth the character breakfast....

I do not know if this was an error on their part, but I booked with Costco and I have not yet been charged interest. . . .

I swear I posted to this earlier?? we just got back...we stayed at the Hojo and got 6 mo NO interest!! w/ all the perks, also don't forget if you spend $50 at the shops you get 10% off...even if you pay w/ cash...just show them and you get the disc!! I saved a lot!!

Thank you all. I guess I'll just ahve to figure out which month we're going. We will pretty much be going by the best rate we can all fly out there for since we are paying for 7 of us to go! I saw some deals last month for under $200 RT each person and I hope they have something similiar next year!
