Booking a DIY Florida holiday

we want to book next year for 2014 staying on site at Disney hotel Aug 26th for 18 days.

With all your help I'll book accomodation direct with UK Disney in April 2013and want to use miles plus with virgin for flights but obviously cant book this til October 2013.

My Question is

What happens if I find a cheap virgin flight say 2 days before Ive booked Disney hotel can I change my arrival date with Disney????

The hotel we are thinking of is POL or SSR cant decide do these resorts get full

I did this and had to pull my holiday forward by a day as the flights were much cheaper.
Disney moved it no probs. (although I did upgrade our room when doing so!)

upgrading good idea, want to upgrade dining anyway

I am going to book POL as we are family of 5 but if my son aged 17 decides not to travel (he's currently unsure!!!) he has until October to decide when we book the flights if he doesnt come and we a family of 4 we would try to upgrade to SSR / OKW and do ddp
