Does anyone know how to get a good deal booking a Disney cruise out of Canada?? I know lots of other cruise lines offer special deals or you can get deals through certain travel agencies. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

I would love to do a disney Mediterrian cruise next summer. I would love to hear any info about the cruise or where it is best to book through.

Thanks

Hello!

We booked through CAA and got a $50 stateroom credit for our 3 night cruise. I couldn't find a better deal, so I went with them.

As Canadians, be SURE to have a passport and other photo ID. You have to surrender your passport at the port, and then you don't get them back until the last morning of the cruise. That's the worst part... you have to get up SO early to get them back!!!!

And Disney Cruises do not really go together in the same sentence! A shipboard credit or the OCCASIONAL promo fare is the best you'll do no matter whom you may book through!!!!!!!!! :confused3

I shopped quite a bit before we went and found Dreams unlimited the best. Although the savings was only a couple of $100 each. The farther out you book the better.

I booked directly thru DCL!

That way you get to talk to them directly! No gobetween if a problem should arise!

Disney = Dreams not Deals! :lmao: :lmao:

Your best bet is to check out the DCL site itself.

Booking is slow so the tier pricing has not gone up too much if at all!

Come join us on the Med Repo Back! It'll be 14 days of FUN FUN FUN!

I will strongly recommend Small World Vacations. They are true Disney Experts and pricing was great. Actually, all pricing is the same now, just a few of the agents give shipboard credits and Small World also mails a rebate to you when you are finished the cruise.

Thanks for all the tips. I have gone on a couple of Disney cruises, but on Disney Vacation Club points, I also used to work for Disney, so I had discounts galore!! This time around I have to pay full price which is kind of hard! I appreciate all the info...I should no better than to look for a deal on Disney! Thanks again!

If anyone can offer me some advice here it would be appreciated. We've booked our 7 day land/sea vacation for Feb., but the way our flights are , out of Toronto,we're arriving late into our first day of parks. If we do the "day prior arrival" and stay at PO(because that's where our vacation is) it's an extra 400.00.
However I think if I book a hotel on my own it's about $120.00 for one night plus our transportation from the airport. (free shuttle from hotel to Disney the next a.m.)
I'm not a very experienced traveller, and am nervous about booking on my own and leaving my credit card number with them. But the travel agent can't get the online booking deal that I can.
HELP,

$400 for an extra night at Port Orleans seems too high. Undiscounted rates for Feb/Mar 2006 were $195/$210 per night.

The Hyatt Hotel inside MCO terminal goes for around $160 per night but people have reported success getting it for as low as $88 per night through Hotwire.com.

This may be a little off topic, but if you are going to book a Med cruise BOOK EARLY. I work for a cruise wholesaler and I don;t know HOW many people are calling for a MED or Alaskan Cruise for THIS SUMMER!!! HA HA good luck. They are either all sold out or you are going to pay for a suite on the ship. Unfortunately we don't sell the Disney Cruise.

I sell cruises and I had someone last week wanting a Med cruise for this weekend! :rolleyes1 Called around, found 1 cabin but pricey and there was no air available at all. That's a pretty major trip...one that should be planned well in advance!

Nancass..Why can a TA not get the rate you are looking at? Just wondering...and I am with Mech8T7, an extra $400 is way too high. Are you factoring in the deviation on air to arrive early and the lack of transfer to the ship being possible arriving ahead of sailing day? Perhaps that is where the difference lay??

Not sure what online site you are looking at so cannot advise re the security of your credit cards..It it's protected by Tico and Canadian laws you should be allright?
