Booking a balloon ride for anniversary

Decided to surprise dw for our anniversary this August. Thought a balloon ride might be good, as neither of us have ever been in one before. DD is 5 (nearly 6) and ds is 4 (nearly 5). Has anyone done a balloon trip before, and is it suitable for the children.

Hi Matty.

We are booking a balloon trip for our first trip to Orlando in October. We are getting married out there, so thought a balloon trip would be a good "once in a lifetime" thing to do!

We have my DS (who will be 11) and my DD (8).

The price we have been quoted is £95 each for me and my fiance, and £50 for my son. Children under10 are free!! (In the UK, children have to be over 12 to fly, and both my kids want to do it badly, so its ideal)!!!

We are going to ride with Orange Blossom Balloons (check their website - it looks cool!) - The Uk prices seem to compare well with Orange Blossom's own prices.

You're in for the ride of a lifetime! It's just spectacular, and your children will probably love it!

I went with Blue Water Balloons and enjoyed every second of it. Don Edwards, the owner, provides a lovely touch-down party afterwards, with healthy snacks (fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, chips and salsa, champagne, and orange juice), and you get a Flight of Ascension certificate, as well as being able to keep your champagne glass with the Blue Water Balloon logo.

It was a morning I'll never forget. I hope you enjoy your flight as much as we enjoyed ours.

The Sunday before we came home just after New Years, we were leaving our home at Windsor Palms to go to the parks and saw the most awesome sight. There is a field right before the entrance and we watched 6 ballons inflate and take off. It was the coolest most beautiful thing we had ever seen. Took some great pictures on our digital but as I am technologically challenged cannot post them, lol. Anyhow we saw families doing this as well as just adults. I wish I could recall the name but it was beautiful!
