I don't have any certain dates. I was just wondering which resorts definitely need to be booked at that 11 month mark. If that's allowed on hereAll depends on when you are going, what size room you want, and how many nights.
We do not allow posts of availability here on the DiS. But, I can tell you that summer gives more options than fall.
Thank you!All depends on time of the year, but in general the .resorts near the parks and ones that are smaller tend to book up faster than others,
From mid September to mid January, most owners book right at 11 months and changes at 7 months are much harder.
SSR, OKW, and AKV are the ones at WDW that tend to be available much of the year at 7 months.
Thank you! Yes but my Aunt can only get her home resort at 11 months. So I guess if I really want a certain resort I would have to go through David's. Thanks for your input! Also remember that even though you can go on a certain date, that doesn't guarantee that a DVC rental service can get the reservation. They have to have a member that is willing to rent out the points. Based on my experience, if a service (David's in this case) charges you more, you are more likely to get the reservation. This is because they likely have more inventory because they pay the DVC members more for their points.
I just reread your post and I may have mistook "my Aunt's DVC" as a DVC Rental Service. If she is in fact just your aunt, then my point is moot.

Definitely makes sense! Thank you!Right, and even going through David's you might not get it. There is an availability thread on the forum that you can search for that might give you a better idea of what is available and when. As Sandisw mentioned, Sept-Jan are much harder to book if you want a specific resort because of Food and Wine and then Christmas. Additionally, the majority of these times have lower point costs than other times of the year so they are doubly popular with DVC members and renters alike.
Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge? Book it for eight to 11 months out now. You probably won't get Oct, Nov or Dec.Thank you pretty much all of the resorts I've been looking at seem like they'd need to be booked at 11.
Hers is Wilderness
Hello!
It would save me a lot of money to book through my Aunt's DVC since David's is now $19 to $20 a point.
Which resorts do you think are realistic to get at 7 mos?
We tried for Poly last year and that was gone
Boulder Ridge, I will probably go through David's or DVCrental since every resort I am interested in seems to be a tough one to get!Copper Creek or Boulder Ridge? Book it for eight to 11 months out now. You probably won't get Oct, Nov or Dec.
David and DVCRental could be out of business after this. Besides, they won't have anything either if you can't get it at seven months out.Boulder Ridge, I will probably go through David's or DVCrental since every resort I am interested in seems to be a tough one to get!

@Deb & Bill are right - assuming that they don't go out of business, the rental companies don't and won't have access to any inventory that owners don't have access to. So if it's not available at 7 months using your aunt's points, it's not available to them either. Renting would only be worthwhile to you before the 7 month window opened, since your aunt's points can be used at that point.David and DVCRental could be out of business after this.
