Booking 3 consecutive weeks

Re booking - I usually book for 3 weeks vacation at a time. First year this time as DVC member.

I get that at month 11 I can book 1 week at home resort.

In terms of the following weeks, can I book those on Day 8 (so 11 months, less 8 days) for 2nd week and Day 15 (so 11 months less 15 days) for 3rd week, or can I only book day by day after Day 7?

Or would I be better off waiting until 11 months less 3 weeks then booking them in one go?

All depends on when you are going and how busy it is as well as room size and resort.

However, if it were me, I’d book the first week right at 11 months and then add on the morning of night 7...before anyone can book..and keep doing that,

If you decide to split stay, then make them separate reservations from the start vs, one long one.

Example: assume that today, May 2, is 11-months out from your intended arrival date of April 2, 2021 and you want to book your home resort and stay in the same room for three weeks:

1. On May 2, reserve the room for April 2 to 9.

2. On May 8, modify your reservation online to April 2 to 15

3. On May 14, modify the reservation to April 2 to May 21.

4. On May 16, modify the reservation to April 2 to 23.

That process, where you are doing each medication before the week runs out, assures that the room you initially reserve cannot then be reserved by anyone else for any time during those three weeks.

If you decided to "split up" your reservation to stay at different resorts at seven months out, you might not be able to do that. MS is reluctant to split reservations because of the problems that can happen. If you decided at seven months out that you wanted to try a different resort, you'd either have to try to book the entire three weeks at one resort (that would be very difficult) or trim your reservation either at the beginning or end and create a second reservation for the nights you trimmed from the first reservation. If you want to be able to modify to change the second week to a different resort, you'll need to book that as a separate reservation with different lead guest (maybe your spouse or other adult in your party) so MS doesn't automatically join the two into one.
