sorry if it's a repeat question,
due to work commitments i'm only able to really get time off work next year around the start of october, it'll be my second time to florida so i'm unsure if this is a good or bad time to go (weather/crowds etc) any comments more than welcome...........baz;)

Hi Baz

October is a great time to go. Crowds are low and the weather is usually glorious. You also get the chance to go to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights which is a fantastic theme park experience.

Best wishes

Lol

Hi Baz

October is a brilliant time of year to go. We usually go at this time of year ourselves. The weather is good still able to wear shorts and T-shirts also still warm enough to spend time in the pool and at the water parks.

During October there are Mickey Not So Scary Nights at the Magic Kingdom. This is a extra ticket event, throughout the month of October. The Magic Kingdom is open from 7pm til Midnight, there is a special Halloween Parade and Fireworks. There are also trick or treat stations set up over the park and you can have a free photo taken within the park.

The Food and Wine Festival in Epcot is on throughout October and part of November. All over world showcase there are stands from different countries that aren’t usually located here. You can try different things from these countries for just a few dollars. There are also some food shows, where some of the Disney chefs show you how to prepare some of those dishes.

There are Halloween Horror Nights at Islands of Adventure on during October – this is on a different scale to Disney. There are scare actors out in the crowds and lots of haunted/fright houses for you to go and scare yourself in.

Where are you staying?

thank-you for the replies, very happy to know the weather will still be pretty good, and the halloween nights sounds fantastic,
regards your question of where were staying KayleeUK,
a few of the people who are coming with us, around 10 up to now are on a fairly tight budget so we'll be staying somewhere on i-drive, last year i stayed at holiday-inn on i-drive and although basic i was really happy with it, clean and the staff were very polite, so we may stay there again or may go with the quality inn or howard johnson although these get mixed reviews on tripadvisor.
I would love to stay on-site but unfortunately a few of our friends wallets won't stretch to it, so i'd sooner we all stayed together, after all the hotel is where you spend the least time i guess.

regards, baz
