Booking 11 months out 8:00 EST

I have tried too many times to count. How does one get the current new day to book at 11 months out for difficult to get reservations at 8:00 am. I have it ready, I have my finger on my mouse.... one of two things happen when 8:00 rolls around.
1. It tells me that booking isn't open until 8:00 even though it just turned to 8:00... and refresh.... GONE
2. It is just gone instantly

Is my technique wrong, or is it my computer? Asking for my sanity.

It's demand. You're not the only one attempting to book what could be just one available room. Someone else's computer was just faster at communicating with DVC's than your is.

I know... it's so difficult due to the number of rooms in this category. It's just that I can't seem to find the sweet spot at 8:00 am to book the current day at 11 months.

Have you tried following behind the walkers to book your dates? I've had more success that way when it comes to AKV Value Studios.

Very difficult, as PP said there may only be one available and hundreds trying to get the same room.
This may seem stupid, but my thought is think of it as trying to get a boarding group for ROTR. Bring up the atomic clock on your phone and use that as your countdown, you will see when it’s seconds away from being 8 AM, A few seconds away refresh, then book. It’s a longshot. I know, may seem silly, but who knows maybe it will work.

That's exactly what I am doing, and lots of success that way.

Honestly, it's not a big deal. I've been able to book a week by following behind the walkers. It's now just a science experiment. I just want to know how to do it. I am tenacious. I will figure this out. LOL

One technique I use is to book a 1 bedroom villa at SSR. So far this technique has never failed.

Honestly, I've never tried to book a really hard reservation yet. Good luck!

Anxious to hear how it goes. Finally bought a small contract to get a particular room at a particular time but still seeing no availability at 8 am. Right now I'm just seeing what my options are and researching. Not booking until October.

To be honest, following the walkers is the way I've been able to get hard to book rooms in the past. No doubt about that. BUT, someone has to be able to get in at 8:00 am at 11 months... I want to figure that one out.

I was seeing some availability following walkers but now that's stopped. I'm looking at BWV for September 2022. Now I'm seeing standard view studios disappear very quickly and not reappear. The way the rooms are set up there means that the 2 bedroom standard disappears too.

That's the same as the value studios, they are tied to the value 2-bedrooms too. I am currently following a walker and hoping to land the first week of September. You might find in a few weeks the availability will open up again. First few weeks of August, which is where we are booking right now, is pretty busy. I feel like when we get to the end of August/beginning of September, competition will drop off. No real data on that, just going on what we've noticed over the past few years. If you can jump in with a day or two, you can check each morning to hopefully add onto that reservation.

I was hoping that too but they changed the 2022 points charts and now points are lower for all of September, not just the first 2 1/2 weeks. This is the first time we've attempted this at 11 months so hoping it works out. We usually stay in 1 resort the entire trip but decided to add BWV points for HS and EP access. Only bought enough points for a couple nights a year.

Pure luck at that point! Try using a world clock? I have heard those help you potentially get it.

So the experiment will now use multiple clocks. I am excited to see if it works.

You might also want to check your internet speed as well. Slow internet = lower chance of success. If your computer is connected to your router via wi fi, move around the house to find your best speed. Even then, your speed could be much slower than many people who have 1G speed at their location.
