Since walkers eventually drop days from the start of their reservation in order to move their walks forward, following behind them involves stalking availability starting a day later.

For instance, if I wanted to make a reservation that starts August 14, 2022 but couldn't get it this morning, I would begin checking tomorrow for it. And then on Thursday, I would be checking for both 8/14 and/or 8/15 to open up. Since walkers can move their walk forward at any time during the day, it isn't necessary to be online right at 8 AM Eastern Time. And sometimes your days can open up out of order because there are different walkers dropping dates on different days.

As the walkers walk at the front end of the 11 month window, they drop nights off their back end of their reservations. If you can get in behind someone doing this, then you can pick up a week no problem.

To add to this, when you stop seeing rooms drop it means it was not walkers but people who booked their real dates.

That is true. Fingers crossed I can keep moving forward. My dates are flexible. That always helps. I just would prefer to move it further along.

So this morning, got the world clock loaded up....was watching tick tock tick tock. Finally got to 7:59.... finger on the button to reserve... and then wham... I pressed the button early by accident. By the time I reloaded the page, the 15th of August was already gone. LOL. I'm a clutz.
Oh well, try again tomorrow.

New owner here. I haven't booked a trip on my own yet besides my welcome home visit that was booked by member services. Should I expect a surprise at the 11mo mark booking a Standard Poly Studio? Or are the amount of rooms available on my side? Didn't anticipate a struggle on the 11mo. opening date. :/

Or are the amount of rooms available on my side? Didn't anticipate a struggle on the 11mo. opening date. :/

You won't have an issue booking that at 11 months. The rooms that are very difficult at AKV - Value and CL, BWV SV, BLT SV, VGF/CCV studios, and now RIV SV and Tower studios are becoming difficult during mid September until mid January.

Poly has so many studios that you will be fine!

Someone is interested in renting points from me mid Sept at BWV. Either 1 or 2 bed. Will it be an issue? I see you mentioned BWV SV as one of the difficult to book rooms.

I've booked 11 months out on a Feb vacation and didn't have issues, but it sounds like Sept is tough.

BWV 2BRs are all lockoffs, so they have the same availability problem that BWV studios have.

I don't know as I don't own there. Probably not I would suspect. I know that the really rare categories and ones with low point values and availability are the problematic ones. AKL value rooms, AKL concierge rooms, BWV standard view
