Hi everyone,

Well it looks like most of ya'll memorial day campers should have already booked by now as they are booking sites through October 2009 at this point. I still have to wait to get my Thanksgiving weekend (I think they said you could only book 499 days out). I wasn't able to book online, but calling direct I was able to book Valentine's Day weekend for 2009. Course' to get a premium site I had to book a total of 10 days. But, I can always cancel what I don't need...yeah that makes sense Disney... to bad if anyone else really needed those other dates. One week for a minium stay at the sites aren't enough for Disney. Geeze...

Anyway, just thought I'd remind ya'll to start booking for next year if you hadn't already. ;)

Happy booking!

Wish I could make plans that far out! I don't know what my schedule will be until mid to late December for the following year.
Keep my fingers crossed that I can get in!

We've booked April 4-14 2009. Easter--Had to cancel this year because of snow days--hoping we can go this time! :goodvibes

What is a premium site? I think we usually book a preferred site. Is there a difference?

We're hoping to book Oct 09 but its to far out for us to get vacation days approved. Is it really important to book this far out? Hope not.

they are making bigger, all concrete, more $ sites. there is more info in the sticky up top.

I've booked for April 2009 for the WDISW weekend, but nothing else yet.

January should be fine for booking my December 09 trip. Don't have anything else concrete yet.

I'm waiting to see what they do with the rates. If they don't drop them, or run specials, I don't know if we'll even make a trip up there. Maybe if Rog was coming back, but that's about it. We may do a GG on one of the summer holidays if there's interest. This labor day, I don't think we are camping at the Fort.

I used to get worried when someone would post this info - and it crops up at least once a year. I wouldn't get too upset over booking for 2009 yet. I bet if I go online later today I will still be able to book a site for 2008, so it is doubtful 2009 is filling up that quickly. A lot of it depends on when you want to go - if you like to go to FW on Thanksgiving day or Christmas eve, then you may have a problem and should book as early as possible.

Why would you camp at the fort during a football weekend? Especially if it is a home game? Pete, I wonder about you sometimes....:lmao:

We usually book our December trip as soon as we get home. Hopefully we can afford to go next year. I expanded our trip this year just incase we can't make it for 09.

We've booked our trip for June 09.....Right now it's just a "Room Only" although we are talking about changing into a package when they become available.

How far in advance can you book? We would like to get a cabin for October '09, but I can't do it online. Can it be done by phone?

When you book this early how much do you have to pay when you call?
We are planning are being at the Fort in June '09.

$200.00 for package or 1 nite deposit for site only. if you can't do $200.00 now book your site and add the package later.

I'm getting ready to book my July '09 trip. :rotfl: July was not that packed last year, and I don't anticipate not getting a site. last year I only booked 6 months in advance- and that was fine. I don't think people are in a rush to book camping in July at the fort.....or maybe they are crazy like me :rotfl:

I just booked the other day June 27-Aug 3, 2009 Premium site. I have 14 days to make my deposit.
