Booked with pin, add dining?

Is it possible to add dining and tickets to a room only reservation made with a pin code? I tried asking through chat on the WDW site, but all they could tell me was to call and ask.

If I can do it, how far in advance does it have to be done? And will the tickets show up automatically in MDE?

You should be able to convert your room only to a package and KEEP your discount, but you will have to call to do it. If you get to within 45 days of your arrival, payment will be due when you make the change. If you do it before that, you just have the deposit to pay and then have to pay in full by the date they give you. I'm not sure about tickets and MDE, but they should show up pretty quickly.

You can't add anything to a room only reservation. It will have to be changed to a package. You can buy the tickets separately from the room, but not the dining, so if you want the dining it must be changed to a package. That means you are in essence cancelling the room-only reservation and rebooking as a package. The above post is true - you must get someone on the phone who knows how to do this and retain your discount. The other consideration is that you will have to make a new depost (or pay in full if you are within 45 days) and you'll be refunded anything you have already paid on the room-only reservation. That payment will not transfer to the package.
