OK... That's a teaser to get you to read this, but I don't think you are going to like it!
Disney is calling this a 'package' discount where we have to buy tickets to get the discount, but I was able to figure out that the discount is completely based on the room and NONE of it is based on the ticket portion.
Here is how I did it:
I had to do four calculations on the Disney website. Two of the calulations were done on the regular pricing web page and two were done on the new discount web page.
Calculation #1 on regular pricing web page:
2 adults, 2 jr, 7 nights, AS Music, during value season
$1563.78
Calculation #2 on discount pricing web page:
2 adults, 2 jr, 7 nights, AS Music, during value season
$1328.80
Savings between 1 and 2 is $234.98
I then removed 1 adult from the mix for my next two calucations, but everything else remained the same. If there were discounts on the ticket portion, it should show up as a difference in the savings between 3 and 4, but did not..
Calculation #3 on regular pricing web page:
1 adult, 2 jr, 7 nights, AS Music, during value season
$1325.08
Calculation #4 on discount pricing web page:
1 adult, 2 jr, 7 nights, AS Music, during value season
$1090.10
Savings between 3 and 4 is STILL $234.98
If there were any savings on the ticket portion, there would have been a difference in the amount of savings between the first two and last two calculations????
I suppose I could be missing something, so let me know if I am!
