Booked with 40% off Pin - question regarding changes

I have two questions regarding the 40% off Pin I received.

1) We booked Pop/MYW for Nov. 15 thru 22 @ 40% off. I have recently purchased park hoppers at Disney store at par (thank goodness, exchange rate is not great). I will be calling my TA to have the reservation adjusted, but my concern is: will she have to cancel the res. and re-book, therefore losing the 40% discount? The booking window ended March 30.

2) Same trip, we have a room only res. at POR on Nov. 11th which I booked late Feb. The discount was not allowed on this date as it is a blackout (Remembrance/Veteran's Day). I am now considering arriving a day early, therefore adding one night to this res. Will the 40% be applied to Nov. 10th as the original booking was made in Feb.? Again, keeping in mind the booking window ended March 30.
Wow, that was confusing to read back. I hope someone out there understands my questions.

For those wondering, we will be taking a 3 night cruise, that is why there are days missing in between the two reservations.:woohoo: Now, if only I could receive a 40% off Pin for the cruise!

TIA!!

I just totally changed the days that I was going using my 40% code...no problem at all... with the 2nd cm...the first one said she couldn't do it , and she said guest services said it couldnt be done too after I held forever...
I hung up and got a CM who really asked Guest services and dates and resort was changed...

You should be able to add days if need be and take off your passes too unless you are using the dining plan... then you need at least 1 days MYW ticket to get dining....

I am posting everywhere to figure out why I haven't EVER received a discount pin code?!?!?!

You must sign up for everything "Disney" under the sun. All of their email, snail mail etc. I have asked to receive all planning dvd's, including the parks, cruise line, best kept secrets, Disney weddings, etc. If Disney wants my home info. I give it to them. I'm not sure this increases my chances but I have received 4 PINs in the past 6 months.
It really is a luck thing though. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.
Good luck:goodvibes

On the opposite note....

The 40% code came in my husbands name... there is nothing out there in his name.... I book everything, yes he is on the reservation...but I do not sign him up for dvds or anything... same thing for my niece, she gets codes all the time, I brought her 2 yrs ago , but again... she was just on my reservations...
I sign up for eerything and never got a code in my name...
I think it is luck of the draw!!!!

The word "luck" explains a lot!! LOL I don't have any! I am signed up for the newsletters, ABC stuff, family fun magazine, my kids are on Disney...all those trips in the past years and NOTHING. Maybe one day?!?!? With this economy, sure could have used one this time around.

I am signed up for everything under the sun, and my husband wouldn't even know what city WDW was in if I didn't tell him. He gets post cards in his name all the time. I never get anything.

We did both get that 40% of PIN that was email a while back - but of course - not for our dates or anything near them.

Oh another thing.... make sure that your spam filter or junk email box isn't catching your emails! search "Disney" in all your email folders and see what comes up. I think the 40% of one came from a "Disney Destinations" email address.
