Booked under a FD Pin, but have a question

We are booked at POR on a FD pin for October 3 to October 11. When we booked the only rooms available for my pin were the Royal Guest rooms (garden view). I called today to see if there were any rooms available at the same resort, but not the Royal category and they said none were showing, and none showing at POFQ. They told me to keep calling each day and if they showed up I could change.

Does this mean those room types are included but are already filled, or they haven't listed rooms in those categories for the PIN?

Our dates are 9/30-10/12 and I also have the PIN and have tried multiple times a day to find availablility and the only thing they have is RR for parties of 4.We are a party of 5 so the RR won't help us any. Who knows really and just keep checking. For my dates POR at rack rate is available in every room category except standard, so the resort is not full and for our dates it is bookable under the RO offer, at least the first few days. Also, had cast member check other travel times and with the pin Sept is available, any days I wanted, Dec. for 14 nights past 23rd, and a few dates later in Oct. Hope your able to snag one. I think the rooms are loaded, just not sure if they will add anymore to our dates. We can always hope someone cancels.

Considering that POR & POFQ were not part of the advance Disney Visa offer, nor part of the GP offering, other than just limited pin codes, it would seem strange that standard rooms would already be taken just thru limited pin code offerings.

My guess is that at this time those rooms are not part of the offering. They seem to be alienating families of 5, so making the FD limited to a RR would be consistent with alienating the family of 5.

Its also possible that the entire resort isn't open to booking right now. Most people automatically assume that if there is no availability that the resort is fully booked, but at non-peak times they will take rooms out of availability as a cost saving measure.

But who really knows, as said, just keep checking and you never know.

I got a pin this afternoon - we had already booked a preferred room POR - they didn't have any of them - but they had Garden and Pool for my dates.. I told DH I just paid 1455 on our vacation today
