I just booked for tomorrow through Monday today. I've never done anything like this, but my son's friend's dad is deployed and his mom and I were looking for something fun for the boys to do this weekend. I booked the trip and no one but me knows where we're going! They do know we're flying on a plane from Pittsburgh, but my mom lives in Florida so they could think we're going there until we get in the Magical Express line.

I'm excited, but now I'm starting to realize what I've just done.

I have a fastpass booked for Star Tours tomorrow in HS between 8:45 and 9:30. We land around 6:30. We're staying at Pop Century so I know Hollywood Studios is normally a less than 10 minute bus ride, so I'm really hoping we'll make that. I did the Dining Plan and have two table service meals booked already.

My son is 10, his friend his 10 and friend's brother is 12. They enjoy pretty much any ride and I know we'll be hitting the Star Wars stuff in Hollywood Studios.

I guess what I'm saying is... what am I missing? What should I be throwing into a carry-on bag to make sure everyone has a wonderful time?

Nada...Just go with the flo & do whatever ya feel like.......No need to fret..U have a pretty good base plan set in place, & realistically you can manage FP's from your cell phone now, so try doing that....Other than that , just Enjoy it.:thumbsup2

You're right. See? I think you've just talked me down off of the ledge. They're all easy going and it does seem like there are quite a few FP reservations available and I even got the dining we wanted now. Thank you!

Neck coolers or mister fans. Have a blast! Would love to see pics of their reaction when they figure out where they're going

Are you staying at DHS all day?

This is what I'm not sure of. I'm thinking we should either do DHS all day Saturday or all day Sunday. I think they'd like Animal Kingdom, but we don't have a ton of time and I'm pretty sure they'd rather go to DHS, MK and EP. I guess I can just try to change the FPs and go with it! Not something I'm normally good at.

That is a great idea! I think I still have our mister fans from when we were there in the summer a while back. I'll have to ask their Mom if I'm allowed to post a pic and then I'll probably need a DIS expert to help me post it!

Don't worry about any plans! Just have fun and go with the flow. Have a great trip!!!

As long as you remember to pack lots of sunscreen and confortable shoes you are set. I hope you are taking advantage of the military salute tickets. Have a good trip !

I wonder, if you phoned Guest Services and explained the circumstances, if it might be possible for them, or for their military liaison staff, to help you with the ADRs and FP+s? I'd give it a shot, anyway ... :)

PS: You're terrific!

How exciting! Have fun!

Thank you!

I do feel much calmer after all of these comments. I know they'll love it and I just have to remember that.

We definitely have sunscreen and I told her to bring their best walking shoes for all of them. I didn't even think of military salute tickets. Thank you!

Oh, thank you! They are the terrific ones. I really can't imagine having a loved one gone for such a long time. So far, I have gotten all of the fast passes I think they will like.
