I received all my paperwork in the mail but realized there are no plane tickets. I called CRO and was told that I just bring my picture ID to the Continental check-in counter at the airport and they will print my boarding passes. Does this sound right?

Yes it does, almost no one uses actual physical tickets anymore everything is eticket, though I would want at least a confirmation of tracking number which CRO should be able to give you.

If you don't want to deal with CRO, just call the airline and give them your names and flight information and they should be able to give you your confirmation/locator number. You can use this to check-in online and print your boarding passes.

FYI: Paper tickets are basically a thing of the past. I believe by the year 2010 (or earlier), ALL airlines, domestic and international will have to use electronic ticketing.

As a safeguard, I would just comment you should ensure that you have been assigned seats to ensure you do not encounter an overbooking scenario at the airport on the first day of your vacation....we have seen more of this lately.

I agree with calling the airline and Please get a seat assignment asap :scared1: - however that depends on your airline and airport. I travel alot out of Chicago and would NEVER go without an assigned seat. Mondays, Fridays and Sundays are a nightmare!

Thanks for the great advice. I called and confirmed with Continental - and we are all set. only three days to go.

We have booked through the WDW Travel Co before and this has happened to us aswell- Call the airlines if you have to to get a confirmation number and you can try to get a seat assignment to then. We were traveling with kids and I really needed us together, so that was what we did. :)

Very few airliens issue paper tickets anymore, most do e-tickets where you turn up with photo ID and you get your boarding pass. As an exmaple we are flying from Australia + 6 internal US flights in November and no tickets for any of them.
