Going October 5-12th and had to book SSR since BCV was only available for 4 of the days.

Booked a 2 Bedroom. I know it's very subjective, but does anyone think we have a good chance at actually getting a 2 bedroom at BCV?

Wish we would have booked 3 weeks ago when the 7 months out date came along.

It probably would not have mattered. BCV is often full even before the 7-month window opens.

I would place two wait lists: one for BCV, but also one for BWV Pool/Garden. I would not count on either coming through.

Were they 4 consecutive nights at BCV? Because if they were, I would have grabbed them and then booked the remaining nights at SSR. Then I would have waitlisted those nights for BCV.

I did this for my stay at BCV studio for late September. I was able to get the first two nights but the 3rd wasn't available so I waitlisted it and took a studio at BWV for 1 night. The waitlist came through less than a week later.

This only works if you're willing to risk doing a split stay, which I was dreading but I was willing to accept it. Not everyone is willing to do this, especially if they are in a larger villa and have more "stuff" to move to the 2nd resort if the waitlist doesn't pan out. But the option is there if you're willing to try.

I would agree with this. If they are still available I'd go back and grab them. You have a better chance getting a waitlist for a shorter time.

Last year I called exactly at 7 months at 9 am and couldn't get BCV 2br. I was on the waitlist for all 7 months and it never came through. I already had a 2br booked at BLT so we were set but really wanted BCV for that time.

Not sure if this is something you would consider but you could do a split stay if the wait list doesn't come through. This way you still get 4 nights at BCV. We have done it before and are doing it again this October with 4 of the nights at BCV. We prefer split stays so we can be near 2 different parks. It is really easy to do because bell services moves your luggage from one resort to the other and you can go to the parks and not even be bothered.

Waitlists of a week in October at an Epcot resort isn't going to happen. You'd be better off booking the nights you can get, if you can still get them and waitlist the other days. And book the other days at your home resort.
