I bit the bullet and booked a one way flight for March 2nd for our March Break. I was holding out for Jetblue, but was very comfortable with the $120 price so fretted a day or two about it and decided to bite.
Anyhow, only my hubby had a RR number, it was his CC that paid for it, if I join and have my kids sign up can we go back and add them?
Also is it necessary for the EBCI, I have no problem paying for it, but just wanted to check before I did it! Can you tell me the good, the bad, the ugly about Southwest? We have never flown them, we have done Airtran, Jetblue, and Allegiant. How will Southwest compare? One of the reasons I booked it is because we didn't care if we went the week before our break or the week after the break, but we were going for two weeks. I like that there are no change fees. So I can play with it a little if the prices work out, but feel comfortable with the day I am flying, but would change it if it was a better deal. I also only was able to book 1 way because they aren't out yet! Someone please re-assure me I didn't jump and push the panic button to soon and I am going to regret it. Can you still cancel up to 24 hours after without any penalty?LOL

I have flown southwest and when I have the option, I prefer them to everyone else! Always nice and friendly staff. The no baggage fees almost always makes them the cheapest around. I have gone with and without the EBCI. When flying with my kids, I do just because I'm paranoid and want that reassurance that we will be together. When flying with an adult friend, we didn't, and we still sat together with no problem. Also, you get that flexibility with them to change days. Plus if the prices drop (or you get a discount) you can rebook and get a credit.

Yes, if you get a rapid rewards number, you can go in and add it. Have a great trip!

If your flight is a continuation from another airport, then ECBI may become more important, especially if you want to sit together (if its a continuing flight, there will already be people aboard occupying seats, limiting your choices a bit more than an empty plane.

You can add RR at any point, including when you go to the gate.

HI Steve, this is a non stop flight from Buf to Mco, so should it be ok? I am nervous to not sit with my kids, but at the same time there are 3 adults going and my kids will be 13 and 11 by then, so probably would be ok, it is probably me that would have more of a problem with it.

Can anyone tell me how I go in and add the rapid rewards. I signed us all up this morning and got everyone numbers.
Thanks

If memory serves (and I do know things can change) you need to call them and have the numbers attached to the reservation.

On the websit, click on travel tool, add RR number, enter conformation number and name of person, enter RR number.

Got it all done, thanks so much!!! So please tell me I did the right thing by booking before the return flights came out! And that I will love Southwest! LOL

Not sure if you will love SWA, but, lots of people do, including me.

Cannot say if you did the right thing about booking, but, if you feel it is the right thing, then it is.

I book Southwest a lot to fly my DS home from college. They are always polite, he never has a problem and they are cheaper as his bags fly free. Personally, if they flew direct from Dallas to MCO I'd use them everytime. and yes, you can add your RR# later. Hope this helps.:goodvibes

I wouldn't stress. As long as you check in at the 24 hour mark, you'll be fine. You _might_ have to seat 2+2, but if that happened, you'd likely be within a couple of rows of each other, and less if you go to the back of the plane.

Have a great flight and a magical time!

WN does fly direct flights from Dallas to MCO. Did you mean nonstop?
